Martin Wins 2024 Bassmaster Open - Lake Okeechobee
Professional fisherman Scott Martin predicted the perfect conditions at Lake Okeechobee and took home a record-setting win in the St. Croix Bassmaster Open. He caught a total of 90-6 pounds over three days, including two 9-pounders. Martin's victory also broke records for the heaviest one-day catch and the all-time heaviest winning total in a three-day Bassmaster event. He fished in the Harney Pond area and targeted submerged cattail clumps with his Garmin Panoptix. Martin's win qualified him for the 2025 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Jockey Outdoors.
