Trophy Mahi Caught off Baker's Haulover Inlet

On a calm day in August 2025, a crew of five friends set out to fish off Baker's Haulover Inlet, despite initial struggles with their 18-foot boat. Their perseverance paid off with a series of exciting catches, including a 20-pound kingfish, a big amberjack, and a sailfish that briefly had them thinking they'd landed a record. The day's adventure was filled with action, from the early morning launch to the final drift in 1,000 feet of water, where they caught a string of mixed-sized fish.
