New Record for Permit Caught on Fly in Belize

Ken Watkins has achieved a remarkable milestone in saltwater fly fishing, catching 1,213 permit in Belize, with 529 of those caught while fly fishing, breaking the previous record of 513 permit. This incredible feat is the result of a 10-year odyssey in shallow water angling, with hundreds of days on the water and thousands of hours invested in chasing the elusive permit on the flats around Ambergris Caye, Belize. Watkins' journey began with a passion for fly fishing, which he developed after completing a course at a renowned fly fishing school, and was further honed through his experiences fishing in the Florida Keys and Belize.
