Review: 2024 Bass Cat Caracal STS
The new Caracal STS (Soft Touch Series) is a high-performance boat with a better load carrying capacity and handling in rough waters. It can reach speeds of over 80 mph and has a quick acceleration. The cockpit features include rod ramps, storage boxes, and a step to the foredeck with a cooler. It also has new features such as soft-closure seals and Lift-Latches, a recessed trolling-motor pedal tray, and an optional sound system. The livewells are designed to keep fish healthy, with stainless-steel lid latches mounted on the sides to prevent heat transfer. The Caracal STS is an excellent example of whole-boat engineering and design. The Ranger 520R and its features are also discussed, with a price of $98,000. Bass Cat Boats in Midway, Arkansas, is the manufacturer of the Caracal STS.
