Three Alaskans Charged with Intentionally Sinking Fishing Boats

Three Alaskans have been charged with intentionally sinking their fishing boats in separate incidents in Southeast Alaska. The charges were announced by the U.S. District of Alaska Attorney's office and the U.S. Coast Guard. The defendants are accused of sinking their vessels in waters near Sitka and Petersburg, and face up to one year in federal prison and a fine of up to $25,000 per day if convicted.
